The Early Learning Centre is the first step in the ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College ELC – Year 12 journey.
The ELC Director, who is also a teacher, leads and oversees the culture, educational program, operations, compliance and community engagement of the St John’s Campus ELC, to achieve continuous improvement and excellence in children’s outcomes, which directly reflects the College’s Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan.
As a pedagogical leader, the ELC Director leads and supports ELC staff to implement learning, inclusion, wellbeing and behaviour programs and practices aligned to the College’s strategic plan and frameworks. The ELC Director will collaborate closely with other leaders to ensure coherence and connection in pedagogy, wellbeing and behaviour approaches, to support children as they transition through the St John’s Campus.
The ELC Director leads staff professional growth, coaching and accountability structures and practices that build staff capacity, impact and strengthen children’s outcomes.
The ELC Director is responsible for the continuous implementation, review and improvement of College and other regulatory policies and procedures to ensure child safety and positive wellbeing and learning outcomes.

German teacher

Commencing January 2025
ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥ College St John’s Campus is in the process of expanding to triple stream classes across Reception to Year 6, and from 2025, this necessitates the appointment of a specialised German teacher.
The ability to engage students in language learning across all year levels will be essential for these roles. Strong German language skills and knowledge of linguistic structures and nuances will be critical to ensure that students develop a high level of German language competency.
The position requires the capacity to teach within the framework of the IB Primary Years Programme and the Australian Curriculum. Working collaboratively with year level teams and single subject teachers will be central to the role in the Primary School.
The teacher’s priority is to ensure that learning and teaching encourages student engagement and is carried out within the context of the Mission, Vision and Values of ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵֱ²¥, including the Christian foundations of the College. Demonstrated ability to collaboratively design and implement authentic concept driven units of work which encourage inquiry, agency and action are essential to this position.

Lead Educator – ELC

The College is seeking applications for a Lead Educator with a minimum of a Diploma qualification in our ELC.
Educators in the ELC work for 45 weeks per year with one week holiday in each school term break and four weeks holiday over Christmas.
The Lead Educator will work alongside a teacher and co-educator to provide outstanding care and education to children aged three to five years in a play-based, inclusive learning environment.
The Lead Educator will be expected to nurture positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues. The role requires a high level of collaboration with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
Educators must be willing to continually improve their practice by engaging in ongoing professional learning and development. Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and a sound knowledge in the EYLF is an advantage.

We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who has a passion for teaching Humanities and English to students within the MYP curriculum framework. Qualifications and/or experience in Humanities and English will be important in this role. The ability to teach Christian Studies and experience teaching in the Middle Years will be considered an advantage.
